Pagosa Springs Launches Amateur Video Contest

Pagosa Springs, Colo.   As the Colorado mountains move from an epic winter sport season to a springtime full of warm-weather activities, the town of Pagosa Springs is launching an amateur video contest, and encouraging town visitors to share how they pursue their passion in Pagosa.

With an average of 465 inches of snow for skiing and snowboarding, natural hot springs for soaking, and a quaint town for dining and shopping, all kinds of visitors pursue their unique passions in Pagosa Springs.

Visitors can submit videos about their adrenaline-pumping adventures on the steep slopes of the San Juan mountains, the meditative state they reached in the town's natural hot springs, or how they socialized with the totally unpretentious townspeople as they dined and shopped in town.

The most passionate visitors will win prizes like weekend packages at Hart's Rocky Mountain Retreat, Elkwood Manor, and Be Our Guest, as well as massages, hot springs passes and dinners. The winning videos will also be posted to the town's tourism website.

The submissions, which can include video and/or still photos, should be submitted at www.pagosavideos.com. The contest will be held throughout 2009, but the first deadline is April 15th. More details can be found on the website.
