Montrose
Montrose is home of the Black Canyon National Park, offering unforgettable scenery and year-round opportunities to view wildlife. The town boasts an 18 hole golf course, indoor/outdoor aquatic center, community theater, and performing arts center. Downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, sledding and snowshoe tours are popular winter activities. National Forest lands, scenic and historic byways are easily accessible. Museums include the Ute Indian Museum, dedicated entirely to the Ute culture, and the Montrose Historical Museum. There is also a wide range of shopping, lodging and fine restaurants.
