Grand Mesa Byway

A 63-mile route following Colorado 65 to I-70 between the towns of Mesa and Cedaredge with a spur trip heading west along the Lands End Road (FDR 100) to the Lands End Visitor Center. Highway 65 provides access to a variety of outdoor recreational pursuits and breathtaking panoramas. The Grand Mesa Visitors Center is open throughout the summer and has access to the restrooms in the winter.

This Byway will take you from the Plateau Canyon in the valley floor to over 10,000 feet in elevation as you climg this incredible flat top mountain. Once on top you will be treated to breathtaking views of 5 mountain ranges, three canyons, rich fertile farm lands and three rivers.

There are over 300 natural lakes on the Grand Mesa, a fisherman's paradise. Enjoy 400 miles of recreational trails that include hiking, ATV, cross-country skiing, snowmobile and mountain biking just to name a few of the activities you can enjoy in this alpine playground.
